Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS) was founded in August 2016 as a coalition of Seychelles' main opposition parties, uniting to advance democratic reform and accountable governance.

Our Story (2016 → Today)
Formation & Breakthrough
LDS formed as a broad opposition alliance and won a National Assembly majority in September 2016 — the first time the opposition controlled the legislature in Seychelles.
Peaceful Transfer of Power
In October 2020, Wavel Ramkalawan won the presidency (54.9%), marking the first peaceful transfer of power since independence; LDS secured 25 of 35 National Assembly seats.
Governing & Progress
LDS led Seychelles through the pandemic recovery, prioritized good governance, and launched major social and infrastructure projects.
